University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) - Health Sciences Department The department currently offers degree, diploma and certificate programs leading to a variety of career options. Programs offered include: the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree; the Practical Nursing Certificate program; the Home Support/Resident Care Attendant Certificate program; the Certified Dental Assistant program and the Dental Hygiene Diploma. Within the Department there are 55 continuing and part-time faculty members. With teaching excellence as a primary goal, UFV is committed to providing a high quality of health care education for our students. The Health Sciences Department also recognizes the importance of ongoing collaboration with health care agencies and our communities in collegial scholarship and research activities.
